Hello,

Some important information and updates. The vote remains scheduled for Thursday and the CBO score on a slightly amended bill is expected this afternoon.

Please know that the Senators that have come out saying they do not support the bill, are being nuanced. They do not support the CURRENT version, this does not mean at the end of the day they will not support the final amendment that is introduced, most likely towards the end of the debate on the current draft bill. It leaves them an opening to introduce an amendment on the bill.

Currently, this is what we are aware of happening:

1) DC EVENTS

Protect Our Care Virtual Phone Bank, Hosted by The Autistic Self Advocacy Network
WHEN: Tuesday, June 27 at 12:00 PM - 7:00 PM EDT
WHAT: We've been urging everyone we know to call their Senators about the dangerous Affordable Care Act repeal bill. And we know that making phone calls can be difficult for autistic people and those with other disabilities. So let's swap strategies, support each other, and provide access so all of us can make our voices heard. Do you have a question about how how to call in using your AAC device? Want to chat with an ASAN staff member about what to expect when you call? Can you volunteer to call in on behalf of people whose disabilities mean they cannot use phones? Join the fight to #protectourcare and #savemedicaid with a virtual phone bank day on Tuesday, June 27th!

People's Filibuster in front of the U.S. Capitol Tuesday through Thursday
Sponsored by: Planned Parenthood, MoveOn, SEIU, Protect Our Care, the Hub, Center for American Progress and many many others
Throughout the three days we invite your organization to hold court and join the filibuster - share your story, your friends or family member's story, or read one of the thousands of stories submitted from across the country from people who's lives are on the line as a result of this dangerous legislation. You'll be joined by members of congress, activists, organizational leaders, healthcare providers and more. Sign your organization up for an hour (or more!) for members, staff, organizational leaders and others to share stories, testimonies, etc. We can provide stories if you don't have them, but we also encourage you to ask from within your membership and bring those stories here. Please sign up here to plug in!
