Hi Cindy, The fight is not over and we need your help. Members of Congress are still considering repeal of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) with massive cuts to the Medicaid program. As Congress returns to Washington, D.C. this week, tell them not to repeal the ACA and to protect the Medicaid program. Send a letter to your Member of Congress TODAY to tell them not to cut Medicaid. The most effective way to get your message across is to share your story about the importance of the ACA and why Medicaid matters to you. Telling your story will help personalize the issue and is an effective way to protect Medicaid. Watch this video to see why it's so important to share your story with your Member of Congress: While no two stories are the same, there are a million other stories out there like the ones included in this video, and we want Congress to hear them loud and clear. A lot of people with disabilities would lose out if Medicaid isn't there for them, whether it's short-term or long-term care that they need. We need you to speak out and make sure Congress hears this message. Take action now. Share this video. Share your story. Send a letter to your Member of Congress TODAY to tell them why you oppose cuts to Medicaid. Although Congress has not yet voted to repeal the ACA, negotiations continue to find a path forward for repeal of the ACA. Congress wants to cut $880 billion from Medicaid to pay for its scheme to repeal the ACA. We need everyone to continue to be incredibly vocal with all members of Congress about the importance of comprehensive, quality, affordable, non-discriminatory and accessible healthcare. We need you to make phone calls, send letters and tell your story. Please make sure your voice is heard on Capitol Hill, and also with your governors and state legislators, because this is an issue that is about all our lifelines.
