Dear Education Advocates,

We would like to invite you to join us for a Learning for Action Webinar: What’s next with ESSA and Accountability?  This webinar will be held on Wednesday, April 19, at 3p.m. E.T.

Please RSVP HERE to join the webinar.  Once you RSVP, you will receive the webinar login information.

As you likely know, the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) includes many important requirements about what must be in State education plans, including a statewide accountability system that holds schools accountable when the school doesn’t effectively educate any group of students in the school and that data must be reported in district and school report cards. It is important to note that despite the recent repeal of the ESSA Accountability and State Plan Regulation, the requirements in the law are not affected by the repeal.

States are developing (with stakeholders) ESSA plans that they have submitted or will submit for approval by the Department of Education either by April 3 or by September 2017.

Join us for a webinar as we talk through next steps in ESSA implementation, trends in the ESSA State Plans submitted for the April deadline and what advocates can do to ensure that implementation of ESSA drives towards equity.

Please RSVP HERE to join the webinar. Again, once you RSVP, you will receive the webinar login information.
