I am sharing a few resources that have come out in regards to the American Health Care Act over the last few days, and links to organizations that have done a lot of work to create reports/factsheets.
Some of them have more top level messaging for use with advocates, and others are more for policy staff who are looking for a deeper dive into the issues.
We are hearing that the mark-ups in the House will possibly go through the weekend, so please continue to encourage people to makes calls and send letters, especially targeting the members on
the Ways & Means and Energy & Commerce Committees, followed by the full House and Senate.
The Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities (CCD) has created a dedicated website focused on ACA and Medicaid. It contains a number of factsheets and letters that CCD have sent to the Hill
since the beginning of this Congress -

House Republican Health Plan Shifts $370 Billion in Medicaid
Costs to States, this is the newest publication from the non-partisan Center on Budget and Policy Priorities. They are the leading think tank in DC focused on looking at the policy implications and costs of budget proposals. More at

And for those in Medicaid expansion states, this should be a persuasive new finding showing the link to employment. A recent
ACA related finding which by NIDILRR's Collaborative
on Health Reform and Independent Living, published in
the
American Journal of Public Health that
individuals with disabilities are significantly (6%) more likely to be employed if they reside in states which have expanded Medicaid under the ACA . This study was conducted by The Life Span Institute at Kansas University, the Department of Health
Policy and Management at KU Medical Center, the Urban Institute and University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.
