For those who will be attending the Disability Policy Seminar (DPS) here in Washington, DC, I wanted to send a reminder that the partners host a website with information about DPS, and it is
http://disabilitypolicyseminar.org/. The website includes the schedule, information on registration, information on scheduling Hill visits, and also factsheets on federal funding, healthcare, Medicaid and LTSS,
Social Security and SSI. These are the topics that the partners agreed to ask people to go to the Hill and discuss with policymakers. Talking points for your own use are handed out when you arrive at DPS.
Also, NACDD is
not having a Sunday afternoon briefing this year, but will be hosting a briefing after you get lunch, during the break, on Monday from 1-1:45 on the Federal Budget and Appropriations. The briefing will feature Ed Long from
Van Scoyoc Associates and Emily Holubowich, Coalition for Health Funding.
