Hello,

On Friday, just short of the midnight deadline, the Senate passed the Continuing Resolution (CR) for FY 17 to fund the government through April 28th. The CR carries forward current funding for the Councils and other discretionary programs at the prior year’s levels. The CR does contain a small across the board cut of .19% to stay within the budget caps. With passage of the CR, the 114th Congress has come to an end, and they will return on January 3rd.

At this time, we do not know what Congress will do to fund the remainder of the FY after President-Elect Trump takes office, and whether it will be another CR or something else, so please plan accordingly. We will keep everyone posted as we enter 2017. A section by section summary of the CR is at http://bit.ly/2ginOOZ
