Administrative Items

Public Policy Committee has approved a plan for NACDD’s Legislative Priorities for the 115^th Congress

Policy Update Calls will be quarterly or as needed when issues of priority need to be discussed and the membership updated. A date has not yet been set for the first call.  

Rapid Response Subcommittee Formed

The purpose of the RRS is to advise NACDD in some areas that NACDD may need help in making timely, thoughtful, and efficient decisions on issues outside of the policy agenda and priorities when a response is needed in less than 72 hours. Some potential topics that this RRS may provide input on are supporting substantive policy issues that are impacting our allies in other parts of the civil rights community and supporting/opposing nominations or appointments for White House and Administration positions. The RRS includes a cross-section of Public Policy Committee members, Board members and others. It was kept small to meet its intended purpose of being able to rapidly respond to requests.

 

The RRS members are:
