Implementation of the nation's most important K-12 education law, the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), is underway and it's vital that implementation
drives toward educational equity.
The U.S. Department of Education has begun its process of issuing regulations that guide states' development of ESSA plans. The first proposed
federal rule, on accountability, was released in May and there is an important opportunity for education advocates to weigh in.
Join The Leadership Conference Education Fund for the second in our “ESSA Learning for Action Webinar Series” on Tuesday, July 5 at 3:00 p.m.
ET. We will provide an overview of the U.S. Department of Education’s rulemaking process, a breakdown of what’s in the proposed rule, and share ways that you can be involved to ensure
the final rule is strong and protects the interests of all children.
