Post-Conference Day of Dialogue on Leadership in Advocacy Training
NACDD is very excited to announce its first ever Day of Dialogue/workshop, Putting Energy into Urgency! This workshop is designed to be a great opportunity for shared learning on how to elevate your state or territory's self and other advocacy leadership training. Whether you currently support a Partners in Policymaking(r) training program, a Youth Leadership Forum training, or other similar training for self and other advocates or want to learn how to support one, this workshop is for you! Our time together will feature a keynote presentation, panel discussions on how to reboot and sustain your training program, explore innovations in training programs, and tips and tools for engaging trained graduates on the ground. We will network and learn from one another ways to overcome barriers and provide the leadership the disability community needs for the future.
Join us July 12-13, 2018, at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center, directly following the NACDD Annual Conference.
Who Should Attend?
DD Council Executive Directors,
DD Council staff who manage or implement their advocacy training programs,
Individuals in the state/territory who run training programs funded by the DD Council such as the UCEDD or The Arc, or other groups in your state or territory,
Anyone who is interested in learning how to begin or reboot a leadership in advocacy training program in their state or territory.
