Self-directed shared living waiver issue
Shannon, Dan (ADD) 27 Feb 2018 16:53 EST
HI All,
In Massachusetts, the state’s draft 1915(c) HCBS Waiver renewal application includes a proposal to eliminate the program for 24-Hour Self-Directed Shared Living Supports. We have heard that the state is concerned about whether these programs can comply with the new DOL rules for domestic workers (despite the opinion of housing experts and advocates that they can). Have any of you had this issue arise in your state? If so where are things at? Any information is appreciated.
Thanks.
