We are excited to announce the relaunch of NCIL's Elevate: Campaign Training for People with Disabilities in October and November 2021. In 2019, Elevate launched as the first and only campaign training program that specifically helps candidates with disabilities navigate access barriers to run a campaign. In recent years, more candidates with disabilities have run for and served in elected offices, leading to historic<https://www.cpr.org/2020/11/25/the-election-of-a-war-veteran-in-colorado-puts-wheelchair-access-front-and-center-at-the-capitol/> firsts<https://people.com/politics/jessica-benham-pennsylvania-state-rep-autism-lgbtq/> for our community.
Elevate 2021 is a nonpartisan program that will encompass seven webinars on topics ranging from launching your campaign, to fundraising, to voter engagement strategies. We are again working with NuView Consulting<https://www.nuviewconsulting.org/> to bring together campaign experts and professionals to teach disabled people the skills they need to run a successful campaign for public office. We will be announcing official dates and speakers and opening registration soon. Stay tuned!
