Sharing from AMCHP From: Maura Leahy <xxxxxx@amchp.org> Sent: Thursday, September 2, 2021 11:43 AM To: Robin Troutman <xxxxxx@nacdd.org> Subject: Updated Resource: Roadmap for Early Childhood Collaboration Hi Robin, I hope you're doing well! We have an updated AMCHP resource that I wanted to share with you and we have another surprise resource that we should be releasing in the next week or so. I'm hoping you can help us spread the word at NACDD about AMCHP's updated "Roadmap for Collaboration among Title V, Home Visiting, and Early Childhood Systems Programs: Accelerating Improvements in Early Childhood Outcomes<http://bit.ly/AMCHPRoadmapV2>." The roadmap was created to address how collaboration and alignment between the Title V Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Services Block Grant, the Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV), and the Early Childhood Comprehensive Systems (ECCS) programs can result in better systems that support families and healthy child development. The updates include a refined framework for collaboration based on an additional round of pilot testing, three new state/jurisdiction case studies, and tips for implementing the framework for collaboration in 100% virtual settings. We think that this roadmap will be a valuable resource for many different audiences, in particular for anyone that oversees, supports, or partners with Title V, MIECHV, and ECCS programs in their state or jurisdiction. It features recommendations for improved coordination among federally-funded early childhood programs, a pilot-tested, flexible framework with practical and replicable strategies for how these programs can better work together, and case studies from Indiana, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Guam demonstrating how their early childhood programs implemented the framework. We'd love for you to share and alert your staff, members, and partners about the roadmap however you see fit: through your newsletters, website announcements, or social media. We've provided sample newsletter messaging below (underneath my email signature) as well as messaging you can use for social media posts. I'm also attaching an image that can be used in newsletters and social media. I appreciate anything you can do to let people know about this resource. Of course, don't hesitate to get in touch with questions or suggestions. This resource was developed to understand what helps and hinders collaboration among these HRSA-funded early childhood programs. The roadmap: * presents the results of a comprehensive environmental scan and qualitative analysis of current priorities and activities among these early childhood programs * offers recommendations for enhancing collaboration among early childhood programs * suggests a flexible framework, refined after two rounds of pilot testing, that states and jurisdictions can replicate in both in-person and virtual settings * highlights case studies from four state/jurisdictional teams (Indiana, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Guam) that pilot-tested this framework This roadmap was designed for anyone that oversees or supports Title V, MIECHV, and ECCS programs but it will also be of use and interest to public health professionals and leaders, state/local maternal and child health staff, students, policymakers, and other stakeholders working with or interested in the early childhood sector.
