Register for the REV UP Webinar: Protecting the Right to Vote!

This Thursday, April 22, the American Association of People with Disabilities is hosting a virtual REV UP Webinar: Protecting the Right to Vote from 1:00 to 2:30pm EST. Join us for presentations and a panel conversation on state and federal bills that will impact voters and learn what tools and strategies organizers can use to protect the right to vote. Across the country, states are introducing racist and ableist bills that will restrict voting rights and access. We brought this webinar together to support organizers in our network to advocate for voting rights and access.

During the webinar, panelists will discuss the For the People Act, the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, restrictive state bills, and ways to identify harmful bills in your state. This webinar will feature civil, voting, and disability rights advocates, including:
o Vanessa N. Gonzalez, Executive Vice President of Field and Member Services at the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights
o Erika Hudson, Public Policy Analyst at the National Disability Rights Network
o Dom Kelly, Senior Fundraising Manager and Leader of the Disability Council at Fair Fight Action
o Soncia Coleman, Senior Director of State & Federal Policy at the Voting Rights Lab

This event is hosted by AAPD's REV UP Campaign. Launched in 2016, REV UP is made up of state, local, and national coalitions and partners that work to advance the Disability Vote. REV UP stands for "Register! Educate! Vote! Use your Power!" and REV UP's mission is to foster civic engagement and protect the voting rights of Americans with disabilities.
