Workforce Recruitment Program 2021 Database
The Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP) released its 2021 database. The WRP database contains applications from more than 2,500 qualified college students and recent graduates with disabilities from 380 campuses nationwide who seek summer or permanent employment in federal agencies. Competitive Integrated Employment in 2020
The Employment First Community of Practice held a webinar on "Competitive Integrated Employment in 2020 - Consumer and Provider Perspectives," which is now available for viewing. This webinar shared stories about how people with intellectual and developmental disabilities have adapted to employment changes during the COVID-19 pandemic so they can continue to work. It also outlined ways employment services providers have changed their job development and job coaching strategies.

ASPIRE
The Office of Disability Employment Policy launched the Advancing State Policy Integration for Recovery and Employment (ASPIRE) initiative to assist states in aligning policy, programs, and funding across multiple state agencies to increase competitive integrated employment for people with mental health conditions. Competitive integrated employment works in community settings where most employees have no disabilities and are paid directly at the greater of the minimum or prevailing wage. ASPIRE will support states using evidence-based practices, such as the Individual Placement and Support model of supported employment.
