Changing the Conversation about IDD in the Community

When it comes to community participation for people living with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and their families, they find that opportunities appearing to be tailored to them do not always match their descriptions. Anna Perng, a community activist, and Robert Smythe, a world-famous puppeteer, have seen this firsthand. Both brought their experiences with IDD to an effort to build regional stakeholder communities and a roadmap for future comparative effectiveness research, all made possible through a Eugene Washington PCORI Engagement Award.
