The goal is to make sure that candidates with disabilities are fully included and considered in the presidential appointment process. The 46 Disability Job Opportunity Project, through their website, will collect information from individuals interested in the next administration political appointments so  they can advocate for inclusion with the presidential transition team and, later, the White House Office of Presidential Personnel.

The project’s purpose is to ensure that people with disabilities receive equal consideration for presidential appointments for which they are qualified. In the past, people with disabilities have been underrepresented, but this effort seeks to make sure the White House and the federal government are places where disabled people are included

Please note: This process supplements rather than takes the place of the official White House application process. Accordingly, individuals interested in a potential new administration appointment should submit their applications for non-career presidential appointments through the official Biden White House jobs application portal once it is established.
