It's so important to know your rights before you head to the polls on Election Day.
* If you are in line when the polls are scheduled to close, stay in line -- you have the right to cast your ballot.
* If you make a mistake on your ballot, you have the right to ask for a new one so you can ensure you cast a vote for the elected officials you want.
* If your polling place is having trouble with their machines, you can ask for a paper ballot.
* If anyone tries to question your citizenship, criminal record, eligibility, or questions you in any other way, immediately call the Election Protection Hotline at 866-OUR-VOTE. Trained volunteers are waiting at the phones to ensure you can safely and securely vote.
* If you face any other problems before or on Election Day and are not sure what to do, speak to qualified volunteers at the Election Protection Hotline.
