TODAY, August 6th, 6-9 PM in Washington DC, at the Thurgood Marshall Center, there will be a celebration and a March to commemorate the 55th anniversary of the Voting Rights Act, and for Rep. John Lewis.
This event is sponsored by the Voting Rights Alliance, the Transformative Justice Coalition, NEDC, NAACP, NOW, Hip Hop Caucus, Vote.org, Moms Rising and a number of other sponsoring organizations.

Speakers include Bishop William Barber III, Founder of the Moral Mondays movement and Repairers of the Breach, Barbara Arnwine, founder of the Transformative Justice Coalition and President Emeritus of the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights, and Rev Jesse Jackson, President of Rainbow Push
The celebration event will be from 6-8 PM at the Thurgood Marshall Center, and then the March will be from 8-9 PM, from the Thurgood Marshall Center to the Black Lives Matter Plaza. Please bring masks and be prepared for social distancing.
