Dear Colleagues and Friends;
The Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities (MHDD) National Training Center is hosting an intensive MHDD Leadership Institute this summer that is specifically targeted at building the capacity of disability organizations to more effectively meet the mental health needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. The MHDD National Training Center is an ACL funded national training initiative and is administered through the UCEDDs at the University of Kentucky, Utah State University, and University of Alaska (see: https://mhddcenter.org/) . The MHDD Leadership Institute is one of the training opportunities we have created to help inspire, motivate and guide professionals to meaningful action by using components of ACTraining to connect them with their values and to develop meaningful long-term plans.
This is an outstanding opportunity for your staff to learn from key national leaders in mental health, developmental disabilities, disability policy, and rural services fields. Participants in this institute will develop a customized plan to build mental health capacity in your organization and programs, and MHDD faculty & staff will provide ongoing mentoring and support for the implementation of that plan in your organization and state. Please share this leadership training opportunity with your staff and stakeholders. We only have space for 30 participants, and so please act today to secure your spot! Registration and more details can be found here: Institute Website<https://conference.usu.edu/mhddleadership/index.cfm>
The MHDD Leadership Institute will be held at Utah State University on May 11th- 15th, 2020. More information about registration and travel can be found at our website<https://conference.usu.edu/mhddleadership/index.cfm>. The cost for this training opportunity is $1500; this amount includes hotel and a majority of your meals here in Logan. The registration fee also includes a 6-week pre-institute prep course and ongoing mentoring from Institute faculty and staff. Registration for this event closes on February 28, so please act quickly.
Thanks for your help sharing this training opportunity. Let me know if you have any questions or need additional information.
Have a great Friday.
Matt
