The AAIDD Creative Arts Interest Network is developing a collection of 90-second promotion videos showcasing creative organizations and programs supporting our theme
"Creativity: The Path to Belonging".

What is the AAIDD Creative Arts Interest Network?
We are a "Community of Practice" whose members are encouraged to enjoy supportive fellowship and the free exchange of knowledge, ideas, research, and practice as we work together to enhance the lives of children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through creative arts. We are one of the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AAIDD) Interest Networks.

What is the purpose of "Creativity: The Path to Belonging"?
As individuals who understand that Creativity leads to belonging for individuals with disabilities, our project is designed to raise awareness of the unique and varied ways that creativity promotes a sense of community and belonging across all people.

Who can participate?
Any organization or group who adheres to the belief that creativity, community, and belonging go hand in hand and wishes to share their creative work with others.

How will the video be used?
We will assemble submissions and create one long video that will be shown at our registration table at the upcoming AAIDD conference (June 24-27 at St. Paul, Minnesota). The video will be posted on our Facebook page, and will also be used to promote other project purposes.

How can you make and submit the video?
1) Select three words or sentences that describe your program/project/organization from your participants' perspective.
2) Develop a 90-second YouTube Video, based on these three words or sentences.
3) Send the following items (a-c below) to Yumi Shirai (xxxxxx@email.arizona.edu<mailto:xxxxxx@email.arizona.edu>) by May 17, 2019,
AAIDD Creative Arts Interest Network Chair:

a. The YouTube video link
b. Contact information (email address: name of a contact person)
c. In the email submission, include a statement that "As the representative of the organization, I received written consents from all participants on the video that this video is publically available and viewed as a YouTube video."

*Consent Requirements*:
Make sure that all individuals who are on the video understand that this video will be posted on YouTube and will be publically available at the AAIDD conference for people to view. You should have written signed consents from all participants on the video although you do not have to submit these consents.
