Hi Executive Directors and Policy Committee:

I know many of you are probably reflecting on the passing of President Bush and thinking about his role in the ADA. Those were amazing times and it is worth reflecting on the courage of many people to make that historic legislation a reality. (Including our own Donna who worked for Rep. Tony Coelho at the time!) Maybe you have your own story of activism? If so you might have a chance to weigh in on it tomorrow on a nationally syndicated NPR show.

If you are a fan of NPR, you know the show “1A” by Joshua Johnson. The daily show convenes a conversation about the most important issues of our time.  We just heard that tomorrow, the show will be doing a segment on the Americans with Disabilities Act.

You can find when 1A is airing by going to their website to listen live in your area. Also, they regularly post questions and requests for feedback on this page. And you can send in questions or comments ahead of time on TwitterFacebook.

Sincerely,

Erin Prangley
