Thanks Beth for picking this up and sharing it broadl! Last week I began working with AUCD and NDRN to prepare a joint statement from the 3 DD Act programs to address some of the systemic issues that were brought out in the series and to guide people back to each of our organization’s websites that have wonderful materials. NACDD of course has the very recent report we authored through ITACC on ways that DD Councils are addresses sexual violence and abuse of people with I/DD. I join Beth in encouraging everyone to think about ways that each of us can take from these items to share locally and garner attention on this very important issue.
