Hi Jaime
We actually will not be hosting a chair training this year.  We are hoping to have a small networking event, but not training.

Sheryl will be coming out with a webinar schedule for some possible trainings for the chairs

Thanks
Robin

Hi Robin,

I heard there will be a chair training.  If this is correct, what day will it be on?  I did not see this on the agenda.

Thanks,

Jaime

Hi everyone

We are so excited to share with you this video to promote the conference: https://youtu.be/gFp7v-NOIXU.  We hope you are all making plans to attend!

Don’t forget to register at www.nacdd2017.eventbrite.com for both the conference and TA Institute.  You can register for both events during one login on the site.

A special thank you to Eric Stoke of the Utah DD Council who put together some great resources on Salt Lake City and the surrounding areas.  You can find his resources here: www.nacdd.org/annualconference (they are towards the bottom of that page so please keep scrolling).

In addition, Eric let us know that the Salt Lake Bees (Minor League Baseball team) will be playing the Sacramento River Cats on July 13, 2017.  The game starts at 7:05pm.  Seats range from $11 to $22 depending on where you sit, AND Thursday is “Thirsty Thursday” at the ballpark and drinks are $2.75!  If you are interested in attending the game, please let me know by June 20th and I will work with Eric to get some seats together for the group.

We will be posting additional information on other nighttime activities on our website so please be sure to check back frequently.

We are so excited to be having this year’s events at the Hotel RL.  IMPORTANT: As of right now, all rooms in the block are sold out for Sunday night and Monday.  However, many rooms will be made available again on May 31st.  Please go ahead and reserve a room starting on Tuesday and then send me an email with your name and reservation number and I will work with the hotel to adjust your reservation to add in the prior days as needed after May 31st.  There is a state fencing competition that ends on Monday July 10th and they have held the remaining rooms, but as of today they have only booked 7 total.  There are still plenty of rooms for Tuesday through Saturday via the website.  If you have any other issues with booking your rooms, please don’t hesitate to contact me and I will do everything I can to get you the rooms you need.  We appreciate your patience as we get through this process.

The agenda is being updated with more detailed information daily.  Be sure to check the Annual Conference page on our website.  Again you can go to www.nacdd.org/annualconference for all information and of course you can call Jessica, Deanna, or me at any time.  Our number is 202-506-5813.

Thanks so much and we look forward to seeing you in Salt Lake City, Utah!
