Hi Rebecca –

The Oklahoma Council supported the development of a curriculum called Partners in Education Advocacy with our P&A MANY years ago. It was an excellent class – very well received – but they only completed 2 or 3 series of the classes before ending the program.  I can see what remains from that and send it to you.

The other resource you might check is the William & Mary Law School week-long special education law seminar that happens every summer, called Institute for Special Education Advocacy.  I attended the very first class and thought it was good, but advanced – it wouldn’t be a “first stop” for anyone looking to get involved with Special Education advocacy – it presumed a lot of prior knowledge, particularly in terms of case law.

Subject: [Marketing Mail] DD Councils RFP for Curriculum Development

Good morning,

I am drafting a NoFA/RFP for curriculum development related to a future lay educational advocacy project. Does any Council have a curriculum RFP I could review?

In solidarity,
