Dear DD Council Network – So many of you have been working in numerous ways over the last few weeks to educate policymakers at all levels about Medicaid and how it impacts the lives of people
with I/DD and their families. Thank you for all of the terrific and creative work that you have done! And thanks to those of you who were able to come to Washington, DC to share your stories and messages in person.
Our colleague Alison Barkoff is working with NACDD and other disability groups to collect resources - many of which have been created by DD Councils – and has now put them on a website that
she created so all to use. Check out: protectourmedicaid.org.
The audience of the website is people with disabilities, families, allies and advocates. It is a work in progress, but given how quickly things are moving, she wanted to get it up ASAP. Please
let Alison know if you or your Council has any resources you'd like have added, or if you want a page for your state. This is meant to be a website for anyone who cares about this issue.
