Announcing: The Texas Leadership Institute on Developmental Disabilities May 7th - 12th, 2017
The National Leadership Consortium on Developmental Disabilities is now accepting applications for their Texas Leadership Institute on Developmental Disabilities to be held in Houston area the
week of May 7-12, 2017. This Leadership Institute is made possible with funding from the May and Stanley Smith Charitable Trust and sponsored by Jewish Family Service Houston. Please send this email to any leaders in the field you know out west! The Institute will bring together leaders in the intellectual/developmental disabilities field from Texas to create momentum toward increased positive outcomes for individuals and their families
in Texas. This week-long, intensive leadership development program is designed for current leaders and emerging leaders in Texas. Participants may work in areas of management or program leadership in organizations that provide, advocate for, or fund supports
for people with intellectual/developmental disabilities and their families in Texas. The focus of the Leadership Institute is on assessing and strengthening leadership skills, setting organizational direction, and understanding the future of the intellectual/developmental disabilities
field. Institute participants come away with demonstrated leadership ability and a firm grasp of the skills and values critical for quality, individualized supports. Participants will learn the skills needed to:

The class is limited to about 30 selected participants. This limited class size offers opportunity for collaboration and building a lifetime network of peers to sustain career growth. The fee for the week is $1,400 Early Bird (if application is received before or on 3/20) and $1,650 Regular (if application is received after that date). Applications are due 4/05. Tuition includes
