The NACDD/ITACC Diversity, Inclusion and Cultural and Linguistic Competence Work Group (DICLC) will support the DD Council Network by providing a 2-Part Webinar Series. Both webinars will feature guest speaker Tawara Goode, Director, National Center for Cultural Competence and Deputy Director, University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities  Center for Child and Human Development of Georgetown University Medical Center.

Webinar #1 will define frameworks for cultural and linguistic competence (CLC) within the contexts of the DD Act and supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

DD Councils will share their policies, practices, behaviors and attitudes for advancing cultural and linguistic competence and an open discussion will occur so all participants can network around the topic, share successes and barriers and provide input as to what technical assistance is needed for all DD Councils to be successful.
