That's Beth's desk. Mine is full of stacks. I can’t find a darn thing – particularly after having been gone at a conference and then taking a vacation day.

 

Friday thought (remember those?): Monday afternoon I participated in a poverty simulation. It was amazingly powerful and I would recommend it to everyone. People actually started feeling anxious about being able to eat and/or being evicted. My role was an eight year old boy, and learned how easy it would be for a child to be completely ignored when the family is in survival mode - unless they act out.

 

I’d love to have something like this at a conference.
