That’s exciting news, Donna. Allison is awesome! I’d love to hear more specifics on what Allison and the stakeholder groups in GA are doing collectively: goals, strategies, etc., Eric: if you have time to fill me in, I’d appreciate it!

This is outstanding Eric! We all look forward to learning more about how this goes. Meanwhile, you all should know that Alison Barkoff will be working for an organization called CPR – Center for Public Representation based in MA but she will be working out of an office here at NACDD. This will allow her to partner with more DD Councils. More to come on that soon!

We are working with our Medicaid agency.  But the best work we are doing is by bringing stakeholders together.  This is a joint effort between GCDD, the P&A, the UCEDDs and the ARC.  We have hired Alison Barkoff to work with us on what the plan says and should do.

Are  other DD Councils working with the state agencies on implementing the CMS settings rule changes.  If so I would like to start a discussion on how best to implement the changes to get quality outcomes from services.  We seem to be hung up on no new money vs. quality integrated settings.
