We don’t have a plan approved yet (I think most states are in that position) and implementation is moving at a snail’s base in part because we are in the midst of Waiver redesign
and the two are interrelated to a degree. I was on the team that helped select the vendor who is doing the QSRs but we don’t have any results yet. So in short, yes but not really. In fact my understanding is that our DD agency licensing division is at odds
with other depts.. with respect to their part in ensuring providers are meeting the settings rule. The next couple of years are going to be very challenging in Virginia as we are also at the same time moving into managed care.

Subject: DD Councils CMS Final settings rule
Are other DD Councils working with the state agencies on implementing the CMS settings rule changes. If so I would like to start a discussion on how best to
implement the changes to get quality outcomes from services. We seem to be hung up on no new money vs. quality integrated settings.
