DD Councils,

The Administration for Community Living (ACL) has been busy preparing to launch the new ACL Reporting system for State Councils on Developmental Disabilities to begin entering their State Plan information (due August 15, 2016).  We are excited to announce that we have reached this exciting milestone!

In order to get Councils prepared there are some initial steps you will need to take:

·         Councils will need to identify a staff person to be the Registrar for the Council in order to gain access to the ACL Reporting system.  A Registrar has access to log in to ACL Reporting. Each grant has an identified Registrar who will be responsible for creating accounts, providing account information, deactivating accounts or deleting accounts. A Registrar can change their own password if they chose the ACL method for logging in with username/password. This staff person point of contact can be the Council Executive Director or another identified person.  *Please send the name of your Council’s identified Registrar to xxxxxx@acl.hhs.gov by Wednesday, July 13th*.

·         An Overview Training of the system will take place on July 6th  at the Training and Technical Assistance Institute for State Councils on Developmental Disabilities. This training will cover how to login, work flow, the system itself and the registration process.   This overview training will be recorded, archived, and made available onwww.itacchelp.org for those unable to attend the in-person meeting in Washington, DC.

·         A second, more In-depth Training webinar about data entry and reporting specifics will take place on Wednesday, July 13 from 3:30-5pm Eastern.  This training will also be recorded, archived, and made available onwww.itacchelp.org for those unable to attend that date. Please be sure to register with ITACC regarding this training.

·         The pilot version of the ACL Reporting system is now live at https://reporting-pilot.acl.gov and ready for you to enter your data. Please note that there are known accessibility issues that are actively being addressed. If you are having accessibility issues, please contact xxxxxx@acl.hhs.gov. Rest assured that when the system is ready to transition out of pilot mode, your work will not be lost.  All data entered in the pilot version will be available.

·         User Guide for ACL Reporting can be accessed here:  http://itacchelp.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/ACL-Reporting-User-Guide.pdf

Please let me know if you have any questionand note that additional TA will be forthcoming.  We are looking forward to Councils utilizing this new reporting system developed for use by ACL grantees.

Thank you,
Sara
