Dear DD Council Network:

 

Has your DD Council or DD Council grantee/subcontractor or perhaps someone in your State/Territory engaged in the following?  

 

  • Demonstrated a promising practice in the areas of education, healthcare, and community living?
  • Had success implementing federal laws into state policy?
  • Developed and/or used successful strategies to improve education systems to ensure the best life outcomes for students with developmental disabilities?
  • Conducted activities to change systems and attitudes to ensure inclusion in community life?
  • Conducted activities to promote healthy living for people with developmental disabilities?
  • Conducted activities focused on transitioning from pediatrics to adult health care?
  • Conducted activities that address health systems and aging adults with developmental disabilities?
  • Initiatives featuring self-advocates?
  • Leadership focused activities?

 

If so, NACDD wants to hear from you!  The 2016 NACDD Annual Conference theme is Partners in Progress: Empowering Children, Youth & Families for the Future.  Please consider submitting a concurrent session proposal. 

Please share the call for proposals widely in your State or Territory.
