Dear NACDD Members and Friends:

Last night was another Republican Debate with much hoopla surrounding one particular candidate’s decision to not participate.  The Iowa Caucus begins on Monday.

Folks with disabilities in IA are ready and while the temperatures in New Hampshire maybe cold, things are heating up in advance of the NH Primary Feb. 9.

As I recently reported, our colleague, former AIDD Commissioner Patricia Morrissey, is blogging about the importance of individuals with disabilities and their families getting involved in the election process. The link to her blog is here www.wecandothisifwetry.blogspot.com. Pat is participating with a group of national disability organizations in getting information out to people with disabilities and keeping folks informed.

NACDD is sprucing up our old website OneVoteNow to be ready for you shortly. It will be a one-stop-shop where you can get information on elections, disability platforms and more as the race for the Presidency continues. We will alert everyone when the site is up and running and will be linking it to the NACDD website as well.
