Just a reminder that this morning the White House and the Department of Education will commemorate the 40^th anniversary of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). We invite you to tune in at www.whitehouse.gov/live at 9:30am to learn more about how IDEA has impacted the lives of students with disabilities and their families and to join the discussion on how we can continue to improve educational opportunities for students with disabilities and advance inclusive education.

 

The event will feature remarks from officials from the White House and the Department of Education, historical perspectives on IDEA, and a panel of students, parents, and teachers sharing their experiences with IDEA.
