In Oklahoma we HAVE paid honoraria and/or expenses, depending on the budget. We do generally feel, however, that those in our state give their time willingly
for the greater good…. Any speaker out of state we certainly do provide honoraria and travel as requested.
So, it’s not prohibited, and especially for self-advocates and parents we have provided honoraria, but we do like to ask for the freebie….
