Hello DD Council Colleagues,

I am not certain If you have heard but I have announced my intentions to retire- following in my esteemed colleague Roger Webb’s boots and my fellow Hoosier Late Night Host David Letterman’s shoes, and Groucho Marx comedic escapade “Hello I Must Be Going” - I am hanging up my hat (will maybe not my hat) after 35 years effective July 1.

1980 was the year  I opened with the Indiana Council- It has indeed been a great run.  I can say unequivocally that this job has exceeded my expectations at all levels. It has been exciting, challenging, rewarding, unpredictable, and just plain fun.

I appreciate and respect all of you. I am extremely impressed with the impact that Councils have made and continue to make collectively all across our vast country.   It has been indeed an honor to serve and be a part of this diverse family.

I wish you much joy, laughter, good health . I am sure we will cross paths in the future. Hats off to you.

Suellen,

The Hat Lady
