Hi,
We created our own binder for "Council Orientation."
Here's the outline:

II.  Council Member Guide (Blue paper)
     a.  For people Serving or interest in serving on a Council on Developmental Disabilities.
III.  Resources
      a.  AIDD Fact Sheet (Pink paper)
      b.  DDA and Bill of Rights Act of 2000 aka DD Act, Public Law 106-402
      c.  GDDC By-Laws (golden rod)
      d.  Executive Order (Peach)
      e.  Committee Duties (green)
      f.  Standing Committee Listing (golden rod)
IV.  Closing

We inserted other materials in the pockets of the binder.

Hope this helps.
Sincerely,
Rosanne Ada

We have an extremely large manual that we produce every 3 years on the disability services system in Virginia. It is not a user friendly manual by any means (mostly created for policymakers) and takes an incredible amount of time and effort to produce (about 15 months). We are looking to significantly streamline it. The document itself meets 508 compliance rules.

Subject: Manuals, booklets or guides for people with IDD/families?

Hello,

We are preparing to develop an accessible manual/booklet/guide targeted to people with DD/families that explains our complex DD service system in clear language and graphics.  If you have something similar, will you email to me or email me the link?

Many thanks!

Jaime
