Greetings everyone:
As a relatively new staff person for the Michigan Developmental Disabilities Council, I greatly appreciate the interactions amongst all of the participants on the list-serve
and hope you would be able to provide guidance on a matter that has come across my desk. Recently, a request for legislation was forwarded to me from a constituent. The question I have, how involved are you in having legislation introduced? Do you work directly
with legislators? Or, have constituents work with legislators with language you have prepared? What are the thresholds you incorporate? Any help you could provide will be very much appreciated.
