Subject: [External] FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: NACDD Board of Directors selects Robin Troutman and Interim Executive Director

The Board of the National Association of Councils on Developmental Disabilities (NACDD) is pleased to announce the appointment of Robin Troutman as Interim Executive Director of NACDD. The Board’s decision is effective as of October 24, 2023

“With careful consideration, Robin Troutman has been selected for this important role with the utmost confidence in her abilities and leadership qualities. As Interim Executive Director, she will provide continuity of operations and ensure stability for our organization, constituents, and businesses during this period,” said Kirsten Murphy, President, NACDD Board of Directors.

Robin Troutman has been with NACDD since 2015 as Deputy Director where she manages the operations, finances, human resources, and more for the organization.  Her experience and education in nonprofit management makes Robin uniquely qualified to lead the organization through this leadership transition.

Prior to NACDD, Robin worked for both for-profit and non-profit organizations focusing on operations and management.  She holds a bachelor’s degree from Binghamton University, a master’s degree from University of Central Florida, and most recently became a Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) through the Events Industry Council.  Outside of NACDD, Robin holds various leadership positions in the community.  She is her local PTA Treasurer, the DEI Co-chair of PCMA Capital Chapter, and the Director of Professional Development of MPI Potomac.
