ACL Seeks Grant Reviewers for Innovations in Nutrition Programs and Services

ACL’s Office of Nutrition and Health Promotion Programs is seeking reviewers for the following grant reviews: 

Reviewers should have documented expertise in some or all of the following areas:

  • Nutrition and healthy aging
  • Nutrition education
  • Public health nutrition
  • Senior meal programs
  • Translational research methods 

Reviewers may be from state agencies, community-based aging service organizations, tribes or tribal organizations, research/academia, health care organizations, or other entities interested in the health and well-being of older adults.

 Reviewers will be responsible for:  

  • Completing a mandatory one-hour training webinar preliminarily scheduled for February 8, 2023, at 1 PM ET for Research grants and at 3 PM ET for Replication grants. A recording will be available for those unable to participate during the scheduled time.
  • Independently reviewing and scoring 3-5 grant applications between February 8 and February 23, 2023.
  • Participating in a teleconference with other reviewers to discuss application reviews. This teleconference is anticipated to take place between February 27 and March 1, 2023.
  • Submitting final scores and comments by the designated deadline.

Non-federal reviewers will receive nominal compensation for completing the tasks above. 

To be considered as a peer reviewer, apply here. Requested information must be provided by December 19, 2023, at 5 PM ET.  

To be considered, you must be registered in the Reviewer Recruitment Module (RRM). If you are already registered in RRM, please verify that you are still able to log in and your information is current.
