Supporting Access for Everyone (SAFE) is an interprofessional and stakeholder-driven initiative to establish best practices for supporting youth with neurodevelopmental disabilities in medical
settings.
Supporting
Access for Everyone (SAFE), the DBPNet-supported initiative to establish best practices for supporting youth with neurodevelopmental disabilities in medical settings, will host a free online public forum on
October 6-7 from 11:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. EST. Both days will open with a research-based presentation, followed by testimonies submitted by community stakeholders from across the country, including self-advocates, caregivers, clinicians, and researchers.

Evidence-Based Strategies for Supporting Youth in Medical Settings
October 7 will feature the presentation of complementary scoping reviews of medical and behavioral evidence-based practices for
supporting youth with neurodevelopmental disabilities, shared by Alec Bernstein, PhD BCBA-D (Children’s Mercy Kansas City) and Holly Harris, MD (Texas Children’s Hospital).
