Jennifer,
The NYS DDPC does not have a Consumer Stipend Program. Administratively, this would be a nightmare for us to do.
We do, however, have a Conference Funding Program whereby be provide funds to conference organizers for the express and sole purpose of providing assistance to individuals
and family members seeking to attend. The organization can determine how best to do that in their region of the state – sometime it is stipend, registration reduction or waived, assistance with child care, transportation, etc. Our conference funding guidelines
can be found at: http://ddpc.ny.gov/conference-funding . We use an expedited approval process with conference funding awards made quarterly.
Let me know if you need anything further.

Subject: DD Councils Consumer Stipend Funds
Hi all. We are currently looking at how to best move forward with our Consumer Stipend Project. I was hoping you could help with the following information:
1.)
Does your Council fund a Consumer Stipend Program. If not, please explain why.
2.)
If your Council does fund a Consumer Stipend Program, please describe the process you use – what things are covered, maximum stipend amount, any limitations, etc. (you can also send to me as an attachment).
Thanks in advance!
