Councils,
Have any of your states seen a successful legislative/regulatory effort related to making day cares more inclusive and accessible for children with disabilities? In particular, I’m looking for something that was able to find some type of
support (or merely avoided intense opposition) from day care operators.
Texas has some legislation under consideration, but some day care operators have complained about the additional costs and training hours that it will require, and we’re looking for proposals that might help assuage their concerns while
also help further the goals of inclusivity and access.
Would appreciate any information or suggestions that you can collectively offer!
Thanks,
Scott M. Daigle |
