Hi Christine,

Unfortunately, SAFE doesn’t have a Spanish version of the fact sheet. But if there is one available in the future, I will be sure to share it with everyone.

Thanks!

Evan:

These are really wonderful resources. Would you happen to have the SAFE fact sheet in Spanish that you would be willing to share please?

Thank you so much for your exemplary work!

Christine

Hi Valarie,

The SAFE Alliance in Austin, Texas, created this video, titled “Safe at Home,” to help kids and young adults who are struggling with increased isolation and may be at higher risk for being abused at home during the COVID-19 pandemic. The video talks with kids about trusting their emotions, and gives kids steps for reaching out and getting help if they are being hurt.

While SAFE developed the video for people in the Austin area, the video includes resources for a national audience. SAFE also created a fact sheet about common reactions and possible responses to children and youth with traumatic experiences. Additional resources are available at SAFE’s Promoting Justice website. Also, the video is available in Spanish.

Dear Fellow Councils - Does anyone have a short (maybe 10 minutes or less) “Staying Safe in COVID” video that they are using?  We’ve shared lots of great materials with our Statewide Self-Advocacy group and they love those (Thanks to Green Mountain Self-Advocates and others), but they want to show a video at their next virtual meeting.  There are a number of them on the CDC website, but many don’t have sound.  We are doing the meetings on Zoom, but many are still calling in so need sound to keep people’s interest!  Thanks, Val
