Dear NACDD Advocates and Allies,

The coronavirus pandemic has altered the lives of American’s with intellectual and developmental disabilities in big and small ways. The developmental disabilities (DD) system nationally and in every state and territory has pivoted to meet crisis-related needs and are continuing the critical work to meet the needs of people with disabilities in all parts of life - health, education, employment, and community living.

I'm pleased to share the attached report that provides a snapshot of how DD Councils, UCEDDs and P&As across the country are working to help people with disabilities stay safer, fight isolation, and navigate community living during these difficult times. This report was sent to every member of Congress and the Administration on Community Living.

We hope you will read this report and share it with others who are interested in the work being done to protect the health and safety of people with developmental disabilities and ensure equal access to critical services in the community during the pandemic.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Erin Prangley
