Dear DD Council Network – I regret to share with you the news that Peter Fleming, Vice Chair of the New Hampshire DD Council has died following a battle with brain cancer. Below is a note from the Council Chair James Piet and the obit shared
by Council Executive Director Isadora Rodriguez-Legendre. Our thoughts and prayers all go out to Peter’s family, friends and co-workers and Council members.
As chair I want to echo the sentiment of our director Isadora Rodriguez-Legendre in memorializing our friend and colleague Peter Fleming. Peter served the council with respect and dignity, and as vice-chair,
he played an important role in shaping policy in NH.
Our thoughts go out to his family and friends, and we will miss him. The council will endeavor to honor his memory by continuing the work of ensuring inclusion for all people with developmental disabilities
in the community.
