COVID-19 UPDATE

 

LINK20 Meetings

Due to ongoing public health concerns surrounding COVID-19 (coronavirus), LINK20 has suspended any in-person meeting for the foreseeable future. The situation is constantly being monitored and we will let every know when meetings are to resume. Thank you for your understanding and stay safe!

 

 

 

LINK20 Zoom-Fest 2020

As we are not holding any in-person meetings, we thought it would be a great time to get LINK20 together digitally! Over the next weeks we are going to be holding webinars and digital gatherings twice a week! Stay glued to your email on Fridays to learn more!

MER Award

The 2019 Morton E Ruderman Award was given to the Farrelly Brothers for their authentic representation and inclusion of people with disabilities in film! The award ceremony was attended by A-Listers, Directors, Film Execs, and of course LINK20 Leaders! Overall it was a great evening!

Sensory Friendly Theater Performance

Ruderman Inclusion Ambassador and LINK20 leader Ava Rigelhaupt raises awareness to the importance of having a sensory friendly theater performance. She helped bring a sensory friendly performance to Sarah Lawrence College. Ava’s project is one of many projects that are funded by LINK20 to promote inclusion in campuses around the US.

 

 

LEADER FEATURE

 

Daman Wandke

Daman Wandke is the CEO and  Founder of AbiliTrek, an organization that assists organizations in creating a more accessible and inclusive environment. Based in Washington State, Daman has built a career on advocating for disability rights. 

 

He also teaches Disability, Diversity, and the Mass Media as one of the first WWU faculty with a visible disability. His class explores the past and present representation and portrayal of people with disabilities in the media. Daman not only represents the community through the curriculum of the class but is also incorporating his experiences into his teachings.
