Oklahoma has done START for two years – I don’t think our DD Services Unit fully embraced it, but there are some pieces there still.

Other than START, I’m not aware of anything major going on.

Rhode Island isn’t doing great right now, but we just started utilizing the START program, we are only in the first phase.

Although not directly on point, we are also building a trauma informed community, which should also help address some of these issues.

Are there any states that are doing a good job with this population.  In Kansas the Mental Health system either says the IDD is the main diagnosis  or they resort to addressing people’s needs with very danger drugs with some significant side effects over time.
