Webinar: We All Want Disability Inclusion in Emergency Management

The NIDILRR-funded Pacific ADA Regional Center will host a webinar, ADA National Network Learning Session: We All Want Disability Inclusion in Emergency Management - New Research on What Is Actually Happening, April 11th, 2:30-4 pm ET. Presenters will review findings from new research on local emergency managers in Federal Region 9 (Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, and the Pacific Basin) and their role in supporting the inclusion of people with disabilities in emergency planning, response, recovery, and mitigation.

Presenters will discuss the responsibilities of Offices of Emergency Management and the role that Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Coordinators can play in ensuring ADA requirements are met with respect to disaster preparedness and response. Registration is free and required.
