Hi Kristin, we sit on the SSEAC as a non-voting member. Although it would be great to be voting member, I have not pushed it because I have found that our influence is quite substantial regardless of ability to vote. Most of the votes are on
procedural matters. When there are substantive recommendations or MOTIONS, I say my piece prior to the vote. This may in part be because we have such a close working relationship with our state Dept. of Education. Our Parent Training and Information program
(PTI) is also a non voting member.
